It’s been a year since Harambe was killed, but the internet will never forget.
Last year at this time, a curious toddler wandered into the gorilla’s cage at the Cincinnati Zoo. It leads zoo officials to then shoot Harambe out of fear of what he might do.

Memes flooded the internet, some of them targeting the Cincinnati Zoo. Things reached such an emotional pitch that the Cincinnati Zoo Director, Thane Maynard, had to come out to say that he was “not amused” by all the Harambe memes.
